Veteran10 Terms of Use

Effective Date: August 30, 2026

Welcome to Veteran10.com. These Terms of Use govern your use of the Veteran10 website, Veteran10 email services, and related services. By registering for, purchasing, or using a Veteran10 email address or mailbox, you agree to these Terms.

1. Purpose

Veteran10 provides distinctive hosted email identities and related services for Veterans, first responders, serving personnel, and others who qualify under our eligibility requirements.

Our purpose is to provide members with an email identity that reflects an important part of their service, profession, community, or personal history.

A Veteran10 email address includes a genuine hosted mailbox and does not require the customer to maintain another email account for forwarding purposes.

2. Eligibility and Accurate Information

By applying for or registering a Veteran10 email address, you confirm that the information you provide is complete and accurate and that you meet any eligibility requirements associated with the requested email identity.

Veteran10 may request additional information where reasonably necessary to confirm eligibility or prevent misrepresentation.

Providing false or misleading information may result in an application being declined or an existing service being suspended or terminated.

3. Veteran10 Hosted Email Service

A Veteran10 email address provides access to a hosted email mailbox operated using third-party email infrastructure selected by Veteran10.

The mailbox may be accessed through Veteran10 webmail and compatible email applications using standard email protocols.

The service may include features such as mailbox storage, folders, contacts, spam and malware filtering, aliases, automatic replies, and other features supported by the underlying email platform.

Veteran10 may change its underlying technology providers, infrastructure, software or technical configuration when reasonably necessary to maintain, improve or continue the service.

Veteran10 does not guarantee that the email service will be uninterrupted, error-free or immune from message-delivery failures, spam-filtering errors, Internet outages, malicious activity or other technical problems.

4. Third-Party Infrastructure

Veteran10 uses established third-party infrastructure to support the operation and security of its hosted email service. Veteran10 email data is hosted in Canadian data centres.

Veteran10 remains the customer’s primary point of contact for email service, billing and customer support.

Information may be processed as reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, secure and troubleshoot the service, in accordance with applicable privacy requirements and law.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use your Veteran10 email account responsibly and lawfully.

You may not use the service to:

  • send spam, junk email or unsolicited bulk email;
  • distribute viruses, malware or other harmful material;
  • engage in fraud, phishing or deceptive practices;
  • impersonate another person or organization;
  • falsely claim or imply an affiliation, rank, position, authority or endorsement;
  • harass, threaten or abuse another person;
  • distribute unlawful or infringing material;
  • manipulate message information to disguise the origin of communications;
  • interfere with the operation, security or integrity of Veteran10 or its service providers;
  • use the service for unlawful purposes; or
  • engage in conduct that could reasonably damage the service, its users, Veteran10, or its service providers.

Veteran10 email accounts are intended primarily for ordinary personal, professional and organizational correspondence. They are not intended to operate as bulk-email or mass-marketing platforms.

Veteran10 may investigate suspected abuse and may suspend or terminate an account where necessary to protect users, Veteran10, its service providers or the integrity of the email system.

These restrictions reflect obligations imposed on Veteran10 by its hosted-email provider.

6. Email Names and Availability

Veteran10 email names are subject to availability, eligibility requirements and final approval by Veteran10.

A preliminary search result indicating that a name is available or potentially available does not guarantee that the name will be issued.

Veteran10 may reserve or restrict names including administrative addresses, official titles, ranks, organizational names, trademarks, offensive terms, misleading identities, or addresses that could reasonably imply authority or affiliation that the applicant does not possess.

Veteran10 reserves final discretion over the issuance of email identities.

7. Nature of the Veteran10 Email Identity

Registration for a Veteran10 email address provides the customer with the right to use that email identity while the account remains active and in good standing.

Registration does not transfer ownership of the Veteran10 domain, brand or underlying email address namespace to the customer.

Veteran10 email identities may not be sold, transferred, sublicensed or assigned to another person without prior approval from Veteran10.

8. Fees, Billing and Renewals

Current service fees are published by Veteran10 or otherwise disclosed before purchase.

Unless otherwise stated, Veteran10 email services are provided on an annual basis.

Fees and renewal prices may change from time to time. Any applicable taxes will be identified as required.

Customers are responsible for maintaining current billing and alternate contact information.

Failure to pay amounts when due may result in suspension of the mailbox. Continued non-payment may result in termination of the service and eventual release of the Veteran10 email identity after any applicable grace or retention period.

Specific renewal, grace-period and mailbox-deletion procedures may be established and communicated by Veteran10.

9. Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • protecting your password and account credentials;
  • maintaining the security of devices used to access your mailbox;
  • maintaining an accurate alternate or backup email address;
  • keeping your contact and billing information current;
  • promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access;
  • using the service in accordance with these Terms;
  • maintaining copies or backups of important information where appropriate; and
  • ensuring that anyone using your account complies with these Terms.

No Internet-based email system can guarantee the security or permanent preservation of every message. Customers should not treat their Veteran10 mailbox as the sole archival location for irreplaceable information.

10. Passwords, Security and Account Recovery

Customers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials.

Veteran10 may establish identity-verification procedures before resetting passwords, changing account information or restoring access to a mailbox.

An alternate email address, telephone number or other information supplied during registration may be used for account administration and recovery.

Veteran10 may temporarily suspend access where unauthorized access, account compromise, abuse or other security concerns are reasonably suspected.

11. Spam and Malware Filtering

Veteran10 hosted email may include automated spam, malware and virus filtering.

No filtering technology is perfect. Some unwanted messages may reach a mailbox, and legitimate messages may occasionally be classified incorrectly or rejected.

Messages identified or quarantined by the underlying service may be retained only temporarily before being automatically deleted.

Customers are responsible for periodically reviewing relevant spam or junk folders where available.

12. Suspension and Termination

Veteran10 may suspend or terminate service where reasonably necessary because of:

  • non-payment;
  • violation of these Terms;
  • suspected spam, fraud or abuse;
  • unlawful activity;
  • security threats or compromised credentials;
  • misrepresentation;
  • infringement of third-party rights;
  • requirements imposed by an upstream service provider;
  • court orders or other legal requirements; or
  • conduct that threatens the reliability, security or reputation of Veteran10 or its infrastructure.

Where practical and appropriate, Veteran10 will attempt to provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue before permanent termination.

Immediate suspension may occur where necessary to address abuse, security threats, or unlawful activity.

13. Cancellation and Mailbox Data

When a Veteran10 email service is cancelled, expires or is terminated, access to the mailbox may eventually be disabled and mailbox data may subsequently be deleted.

Customers are responsible for exporting or retaining any messages or information they wish to preserve before the applicable deletion date.

Veteran10 does not guarantee recovery of mailbox contents after deletion.

Veteran10 will establish and communicate applicable cancellation, grace-period and data-retention procedures.

14. Service Changes and Provider Changes

Veteran10 may modify its email infrastructure, service providers, software, storage allocations, technical settings or features where reasonably necessary to maintain or improve the service.

Where a material change requires customer action, Veteran10 will make reasonable efforts to provide appropriate instructions or notice.

Veteran10 may migrate customer mailboxes between service providers where reasonably necessary to maintain or continue the service.

15. Intellectual Property

The Veteran10 name, logo, branding, website content, graphics and related materials remain the property of Veteran10 or their respective rights holders unless otherwise stated.

A customer’s right to use a Veteran10 email identity does not grant ownership of the Veteran10 trademark, domain name or branding.

Veteran10 materials may not be copied, reproduced or commercially exploited without authorization.

16. Privacy

Veteran10’s collection, use, storage and disclosure of personal information are described in the Veteran10 Privacy Policy.

Operation of a hosted mailbox necessarily involves the processing and storage of email messages, account information and associated technical data by Veteran10 and its service providers.

Customers should review the Privacy Policy before registering.

17. Service Availability and Limitation of Liability

Veteran10 will make reasonable efforts to provide a reliable and secure service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability, successful delivery of every email, permanent preservation of every message, or detection of every spam message, virus or security threat.

Customers are responsible for maintaining appropriate copies or backups of important messages, attachments and other information and should not rely on a Veteran10 mailbox as the sole location for irreplaceable information.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Veteran10 shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or economic losses arising from the use of or inability to use the service, including loss of business, revenue, profits, opportunities, communications or data.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Veteran10’s total liability arising from or relating to the affected service shall not exceed the unused, prorated portion of the annual service fee actually paid by the customer for that service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or limits any right, remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or limited under applicable consumer-protection or other laws.

18. Respect for the Veteran10 Community

Veteran10 exists to recognize and maintain meaningful connections to service, profession and community.

Customers are expected to represent themselves honestly and use Veteran10 identities in a manner consistent with the principles of honour, service and connection.

Veteran10 may refuse, suspend or terminate an identity that is being used to deliberately misrepresent the customer’s service, qualifications, rank, authority, affiliation or identity.

19. Changes to These Terms

Veteran10 may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in its services, technology, legal requirements or service-provider obligations.

The current version and effective date will be published on Veteran10.com.

Where appropriate, material changes affecting existing customers may also be communicated directly.

Continued use of the service following the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of those Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

20. Contact

Questions regarding these Terms, account administration or Veteran10 email service may be submitted through the Contact page on Veteran10.com or through the applicable Veteran10 support contact.
